Leksand Sommarland
The second largest Sommarland in Sweden and definitely the most beautiful. It lies adjacent to Leksand Strand.
Over 60 activities for the whole family!
Mountain tracks, carousels, "The Falls" - Europe's longest waterfall run, go-carting, quad-biking, bumper boats, rifle shooting and much more.
Once an entry ticket is paid, most attractions are free and you can have as many turns as you like.
It is only about five minutes on foot from Leksand Strand, depending on the camping area you are staying in.

Rättvik's Summer Tobaggan Run
The first and longest twin parallel-track summer toboggan run in Scandinavia. A 725m long adventure for the whole family. Children under seven years must travel accompanied by an
adult. Open daily during the high season. Closed if raining! Can be booked ‘out of season' (May and September) for groups of 15 people or more.
Location: on Rättvik ski slope, it is 15 minutes drive from Leksand Strand.

Orsa Bear Park
Northern Europe's largest bear park. Tiger mountain has Siberian tigers and a large wolf enclosure. There are also wolverines, lynxes, red foxes and mountain owls. Viewing
platforms and information stops together with many activities. Cafeteria, mountain cabin serving snacks/drinks and a covered picnic area with tables.
Entry includes access to the Wild Animal centre and a Timber Design display - exhibitions/film shows etc. of wild animals and timber in design respectively. In the high season
there are information shows in the 500 seat amphitheatre on Tiger Mountain.
Location: 15km northwest of Orsa - about 75 minutes drive from Leksand Strand.

Santa World

Dala Horse Manufacture
In the little village of Nusnäs, south of Mora, Sweden's national symbol - the Dala Horse - is made. There are two workshops which lie on each side of the village street. As well
as well-stocked shops you can watch the whole manufacturing process from original wooden blank to finished painted horse.
Location: 10km south of Mora. Well signed from Road No. 70, about 40 minutes drive from Leksand Strand
Falu Copper Mine - Child & adult oriented guided tours
Dalarnas first, and still one of the biggest, tourist attractions. The Falu mine is the oldest and most significant mine works in Sweden. The mine has been hollowed and chiselled
out by thousands of mine workers over hundreds of years of toil. "This is Sweden's largest wonder, but also the horrors of Hell itself". So wrote Carl von Linné in 1734. Exciting
and interesting for the whole family. Adult and children's guided tours are conducted regularly.

M/S Gustaf Wasa
This boat sails Lake Siljan in the summer months. There are lunch- , family- and dance cruises. Boat departures are from Leksand, Rättvik & Mora and there are regular tours
from mid June to mid August. The boat was built in 1876 and has plied the lake regularly since then. There are 120 seats on board.

S/S Engelbrekt
Steamship tours over the whole Lake Siljan from Gråda in the south to Lake Orsa in the north during the summer. Both regular and private tours are available. There is a fully
licensed restaurant on board.

Naturum, Dalarna
Naturum, Dalarna, is an information centre and gateway to the countryside. In a wonderful and entirely new exhibition, Dalarna's natural history and culture is brought together.
Naturum has its own viewing tower and many nature trails.
Location: Björkberget, (Birch Mountain) Siljansnäs, is about 20 minutes drive from Leksand Strand.
